DR. CLAUDE MÉNARD
Dr. Claude Ménard studied medicine at Université de Sherbrooke. He then did a cornea subspecialty at Université Laval and a cornea and refractive surgery subspeciality at California Southern University’s Doheny Eye Institute in the United States. He was Chief of Ophthalmology for the Outaouais region for 20 years and is now the Medical Director of the Centre chirurgical 819.
DR. RAPHAËLLE ORÈS
MD, FEBODr. Raphaëlle Orès received her medical degree in 2010 and completed her residency in ophthalmology in 2015 in Paris, France. She then completed two years of advanced fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at the Quinze-Vingts National Ophthalmology Hospital in Paris. After years of practice in France, she moved to Québec in 2020, starting in Sherbrooke and then in the Outaouais region in March 2021. She practices as a general ophthalmologist, cataract surgeon and retina specialist.
Dr. Orès is a member of the Collège des médecins du Québec, the Fédération des médecins spécialistes du Québec, the Canadian Ophthalmological Society, the Canadian Retina Society, the Société Française d’Ophtalmologie and the Société Française de Rétine. She is the author of numerous scientific publications and was the recipient of the Yann Bozec Award for her academic work during her medical thesis.
DRE NATHALIE TEBOUL
Born in Montreal, Dr. Teboul obtained her medical degree at McGill University where she received the Morris Wilson Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement and leadership. She did a residency in internal medicine at McGill University and a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Montreal where she was awarded the 1st place research prize for her research comparing different techniques used in cataract surgery.
She is an active member at the CISSS de l’Outaouais where she has performed over 10,000 cataract procedures. She is also an active member at the Montfort Hospital and part-time academic lecturer at the University of Ottawa where she is a preceptor for third-year medical students.
Dr. Teboul has published several articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is an active member of many medical professional associations, including the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the Collège des médecins du Québec, the Fédération des médecins spécialistes du Québec, the Association des médecins ophtalmologistes du Québec, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
DR FÉLIX BERNIER-TURMEL
MD, FRCPCOriginally from Val-des-Monts in the Outaouais, Dr. Bernier-Turmel obtained his Doctorate in Medicine and his specialty diploma in ophthalmology at Université de Montréal respectively in 2014 and 2019. He worked for a few years at the Hôpital régional de Rimouski before returning to the Outaouais.
He practices general ophthalmology, including cataract surgery, therapeutic lasering, and all pathologies of the eye, particularly pathologies of the retina and glaucoma. In particular, he is certified by Glaukos to insert iStent intraocular implants. In addition to his practice in Gatineau, he provides ophthalmic services at the Hôpital du Pontiac à Shawville and the Hôpital de Maniwaki.
Dr. Bernier-Turmel is a member of the Collège des médecins du Québec, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the Association des médecins ophtalmologistes du Québec, the Canadian Ophthalmological Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
DRE MINH-THU DO
MD, FRCSCDr. Do started her practice in ophthalmology in the Outaouais region in 2009. She completed her Bachelor’s in Pharmacy at the University of Laval. She then obtained her degree in medicine at the University of Montreal and completed her residency at the University of Sherbrooke. She practices as a comprehensive ophthalmologist. She provides a variety of services, including cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and intravitreal injections to treat macular degeneration and other retinal diseases.
Dr. Do is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the Fédération des médecins spécialistes du Québec, and the Collège des médecins du Québec.
DRE STEPHANIE CHAN, BENG
MD FRCSCDr. Stephanie Chan was born and raised in Ottawa. She pursued her degree in Engineering and went on to do Medicine at McMaster University. She completed her residency at the Ottawa Eye Institute. She is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with an interest in pediatrics. She provides a variety of services including cataract surgery, glaucoma procedures, eye injections to treat retinal diseases, and strabismus surgery.
She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the Canadian Ophthalmological Society, the Fédération des médecins spécialistes du Québec, the Collège des médecins du Québec, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
DR JASON BLAIR
MD, FRCSCDr. Blair has been practicing in the Outaouais region since 2009. He is bilingual. He obtained his degree in medicine at Queen’s University and then completed his residency at the Ottawa Eye Institute. Dr. Blair is a comprehensive ophthalmologist. He provides a variety of services, including cataract surgery, intravitreal injections to treat macular degeneration and other retinal diseases, and glaucoma treatment.
DRE RAMA BEHKI
MD, FRCSCDr. Behki is a comprehensive ophthalmologist practicing in Gatineau and Ottawa. She obtained her degree in medicine at Queen’s University and then completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Ottawa. She provides a variety of ophthalmic services including cataract surgery and the treatment of glaucoma.
Dr. Behki is an active attending surgeon at the CISSS of the Outaouais and the Ottawa Hospital. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology with the University of Ottawa and a visiting specialist at the Qikiqtani General Hospital in Nunavut.
